It’s simple really. Everyone loves food and drink and travel and animals. But finding food when you travel gets a little problematic when you love animals so much that you don’t eat them. You stumble over foreign tongues negotiating a proper definition of vegetarianism; you finger through pasta dishes trying to distinguish pancetta from crispy shallots or crimini mushrooms; you sip vegetable soup and brace yourself for the gelatinous sensation of animal stock; you eat red curry resigned to a don’t ask/don’t tell policy on whether or not shrimp is in the paste.

After years and years of traveling and touring the world as a musician, I sensed a genuine need for an adventurous vegetarian travel resource. Thus No-Kill Roadhouse was born with a simple mission in mind: eat (and drink of course) as the locals do, but do it in a way that is consistent with your own ethical beliefs. Fulfilling the mission can be difficult sometimes. Rewarding most of the time. And delicious always. That pretty much covers the No-Kill part.
